Helpful answers

Questions before your first pour.

Do I need previous candle-making experience?

No. Beginner courses explain the vocabulary, materials, workspace preparation, and basic workflow before asking you to make decisions.

What materials do I need?

Each catalog listing includes a materials list. Most foundational classes use a heat-safe vessel, wax, wick, scale, thermometer, and a notebook for observations.

Are the courses live or self-paced?

The catalog identifies each format. We offer self-paced guides, recorded workshops, live online sessions, project classes, and downloadable workbooks.

How do you approach candle safety?

Safety is part of the process, not an afterthought. Lessons discuss heat awareness, workspace habits, burn testing, warning language, and clear care instructions.

Can I take a course on a small home workspace?

Yes, provided your workspace is stable, ventilated, heat-aware, and suitable for the materials in the lesson. The workspace design course covers compact setups.

What does Fallows mean?

Fallows is Emberstride Studio’s saved-course list. Select Follow in the catalog to keep a course ID in your browser for later review.

Can I change my saved courses?

Yes. Open Fallows to remove saved courses, or return to the catalog and select Saved on a course card.

Does the site process real payments?

No. The cart is a browser-based planning tool. Checkout displays a confirmation modal and does not collect payment or create an order.

How can I ask a question about a course?

Use the contact form with your name, email, and message. Include the course title when your question concerns a specific lesson.
